What equipment do I need to provide for my child?
You will need to provide your child with shin guards (shin guards are mandatory) with soccer socks worn over the shin guards. A water bottle or other drink . You will also need to provide you child with a soccer ball. Size 3 for U-5 to U-8, Size 4 for U-9 to U12 and Size 5 for U-13 and up. During practice sessions your child's coach will run activities that require all children to have their own soccer ball. We also recommend that you provide your child with soccer cleats. Soccer cleats will provide your child with the proper footing so that your child does not slip on the grass. NO Jewelery - All earrings, bracelets and necklaces must be removed including silly bands.
As you are cleaning out those old soccer cleats, shin pads, balls or uniforms please put them aside. We will once again be collecting them to "recycle" and offer free to those who need them. We can come and pick them up (email us) or we will be collecting them late August for the exchange program. It has been a great success in the past and has helped many families.
If you have any questions please send us an e-mail at admin@seekonksoccer.org.
NEXT BOARD MEETING, TBA.
Everyone is welcome
SYS is entirely volunteer driven. We depend entirely on parents to fill positions for coaches, field volunteers, SYS Board positions and SYS Officers. We must have more people involved, or the league will have a very difficult time meeting the most basic needs of the players.
