Game and practice times are TBD based on how many kids/teams we have this season.

All U-13 and above players will be placed on the waiting list to be sure we have enough players to run the recreational program.  Once there are enough players registered they will be released and payment can be made.

If you voluteer when registering your child - Every volunteer for the league must complete and pass a CORI check.  Please be sure to fill out a CORI form for the town for each season.  CORI.  Please print this form and complete.  Forms must be returned to the team assignor along with a copy of your license atleast 3 weeks prior to the start of the season.  Completed CORI forms can be mailed to SeekonkSoccer, P.O. For Friday participants the final clinic will be on May 31

We will have a small award for each child at the last clinic.

BLACK GOOSE

Below is the link for the spring season schedule. The majority of teams have 4 away games and 4 home games. There are play-offs for the U-11 and above teams that qualify. For U-10 and below there are end of the season frienship tournaments. This year, some teams have games on the islands (Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket) which will obviously require a greater level of effort than in the other games. Please support your coaches in that effort. The schedule link is:

LEAGUE POSITION OPEN

The position of Rec. Director is open.  This position helps get the fall soccer program up and running.  This person orders and distributes the uniforms, works with the trainers to set a schedule for the U6 and U8 groups and helps set the schedule.  There is a assistant field director to help and  plenty of people who can help assist the rec director.  If you think this is something you can help out with please contact president@seekonksoccer.org.

FIELD ASSISTANT - This person helps the field director set up the fields, which includes painting the fields weekly during the fall and spring seasons, repairing nets as needed, checking the fields on game days.

Seekonk Youth Soccer is 100% volunteer driven organization from the president to the coaches.  Without volunteers, our program would not be able to run.

Next Board Meeting:

All are welcome to attend the Seekonk Youth Soccer board meeting.  All meetings will be held on the first Monday of every month at Aitken School at 7 pm. NO MEETING in July/August

Just a Little Soccer Boy

He runs toward the goal with his heart pounding fast.

Dribbling the ball and hoping to make it past.

Mom and Dad cannot help him, he moves all alone.

A goal at this moment would send the other team home.

The ball meets his foot; he kicks and it misses.

There is a groan from the crowd, with some boos and some hisses.

A thoughtless voice cries,, "Take out the bum."

Tears fill his eyes; the game's no longer fun.

So open your heart and give him a break.

For it's moments like this, a man you can make.

Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget.

He's just a little boy and not a man yet.
